Mark your calendars for December 6^th, when we’ll return to Coco Lezzone in the heart of Toronto’s Little Italy. We all had such a great evening in 2009, we decided to return to Steve Salari’s restaurant, for what will be another fine experience of Mediterranean culture and style with another special menu created for the Australian Wine Society members and guests.

Located on College Street in the heart of little Italy, Coco Lezzone is simply perfect for sharing wine, where the atmosphere is lively and always full of excitement. The staff are attentive, friendly and exceptionally professional. Steve has created the menu, and John Macdonald has selected the wines to go with each course. Here are the courses and wine pairings;

  First Course;

Antipasti Platter of grilled shrimp, grilled calamari, smoked salmon,

 grilled balsamic herbed marinated vegetables.

Served with Grant Burge Zerk Semillon, Barossa Valley, SA

Second Course;

Mushroom Risotto, with Wild Mushrooms, White Truffle Oil and Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese.

Served with 2004 Yalumba Bush Vines Grenache, Barossa Valley, SA

Third Course:

Filet Mignon with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Veal Jus with Seasonal Vegetables

Served with 2003 Pirramimma Shiraz, McLaren Vale

and 2002 Glaetzer Johns’ Blend Margarete’s Shiraz, Barossa Valley

Fourth Course;

Coco Lezzone’s Famous Tiramisu

There will be a cash bar at 6:45 pm, then we sit for dinner at 7:30 p.m.
